Jul 12, 2018

Centiro, a leading innovator in delivery management and supply chain network collaboration, announces significant investments in technology and competence to address the challenges found in delivery and supply chain networks.

"I believe it’s clear that the capabilities and prospects of new technology alongside demand from markets and consumers are already changing the clock-speed and ultimately the faces of businesses in retail, logistics and other industries. The underlying supply chain and delivery networks need to change too, and fast.”, says Niklas Hedin, CEO of Centiro.

“Businesses – traditional but also the new breeds - need help to break the silos and connect across them to harvest the opportunities in sustainability, economics and complexity reduction. It’s a collection of real world opportunities, large and small, for our customers to become more competitive, profitable and sustainable. Using the vast amount of data from our connected networks, Centiro is in a good position in industry to make a difference, which is why we are adding significant investments in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to strengthen our capability and bring value and competitive advantages to our connected community. Included in this investment is strengthened capabilities to connect to IoT and GPS based networks to serve our mission to track anything, anywhere, at any time, in real-time. It includes the first- and last mile, as well as the first- and last inches of a journey orders, vehicles, vessels and items undertake. We are committed to making a difference for our customers and the world, and we have the laser focus, competence and endurance to get the job done.”, Hedin finishes.

The ongoing investments are made at Centiro’s global hub in Borås, Sweden as well as in Pune, India and Boston, USA. The company group maintains strong and accelerated profitable growth at a current rate of +40% YoY. Sweden maintains a top position as one of the world’s most innovative countries in the Global Innovation Index (GII), a ranking publicized(*) on July 10 by WIPO – World Intellectual Property Organization.
