In my role as an Application Specialist, I’m a part of our customer meetings to discuss operations and weekly progress. These meetings bring the best out of me. I handle Problem Management – to find the root cause of problems and work on fixing those permanently.

Key for me is to always put our customer first. I take responsibility for any service failures or bugs, and we collaborate internally to get those fixed always being more reliable and sustainable for our customers.

As a Software Developer you and your team help analyze and implement customer requirements into features and changes in the Centiro platform. Anything from a minor change in how we integrate with a transport provider to a new customer solution, or new APIs and products.

As a Software Developer in the R & D team, I work on understanding the customer requirements and try to incorporate the changes with good quality and as fast as possible. Sometimes it involves trying and evaluating new platforms and tools to get things done.

My role is not just limited to code, I also work on requirement analysis, designing the solution, working on the database schema, improving code quality, improving the performance, and deploying in the best way possible.

I am not just a Software Developer, I am Deployer, Tech Lead at Centiro.

In my role as Software Developer I also get to work with UI Development. I need to translate creative software design concepts and ideas into reality using latest front-end technologies. We understand the user interface design solution both in its practical intent and creative vision and convert it into engineered software.

We deliver the applications which is mostly designed and developed in Angular and React. While delivering we emphasize on functionality and performance and creating visually appealing and device friendly applications, which are liaised with the clients’ needs and expectations. We use analytics in our projects to test every page.

I can happily say that our office is vibrant and tenured. It’s because we have our own opinion, picking up the ideas and bringing them into fruition…that’s, the thing that I learned here – I get the possibility to become the best me.

As a Software Developer you and your team help analyze and implement customer requirements into features and changes in the Centiro platform. Anything from a minor change in how we integrate with a transport provider to a new customer solution, or new APIs and products.

I also work in a more supportive proactive function with monitoring and improving customer solutions, increasing both the speed and volume capacity of the Centiro platform. With my interest in SQL and platform optimization I also work with our DBAs to increase our developers’ knowledge in writing optimized queries and aid in guiding our developers in the direction Centiro wants its products and solutions to move.

My role as an Application Specialist is super flexible with varying tasks on an everyday basis. It starts from setting up configurations for new integrations, testing and technical support, up to troubleshooting and more and more data-driven analysis. Next to this, I’m also working a lot with IT-project management tasks such as planning, organizing and what I like most – customer interactions and alignments.

‍‍As an Application Specialist I do a little of everything at Centiro. Most of my days I’m configuring the Centiro Solution for our customers, this can be everything from building the script of labels to build work items for our developers to code. Somedays I hold meetings with our customers to help them understand their needs and drive them forward to better solutions, and on other days I’m mentoring the younger abilities at Centiro, which is always a fun and an important activity.  A day for me at Centiro is rarely the same as the day before but it always involves playing pool or video games and drinking coffee on my breaks.
